SAMPLE PROGRAMME
Day I
Arrival at Aalborg Airport
Transfer to a four-star centrally located hotel.
Check-in followed by lunch.
In the afternoon, there is a treasure hunt in the old part of Aalborg. We will stop at Duus Wine Cellar, located in the famous Jens Bang’s Stone House, dating from 1624. This five storey house is Scandinavia’s largest private house from the Renaissance. The house was built by the wealthy merchant, Jens Bang, who was a close friend King Christian IV.
Tour of and dinner at the Helligåndklosteret (the Monastery of the Holy Ghost), built in 1431. The original purpose of the Monastery was to function as a public institution, and to some extent it continues to fill this role today. The Monastery, which is not normally open to the public, is known for its fine 16th century frescos – and of course for its resident ghost!
The rest of the evening is free to explore Aalborg’s nightlife famous for its more than 300 restaurants and bars. Any gamblers in the group will enjoy the international atmosphere at CASINO Aalborg.
Day II
Breakfast at the hotel.
The day starts with something of a wet challenge! The participants will be split into groups, and each group will have to build a raft. The rafts will be used to take you across the fjord to the tiny island of Egholm, where a well-deserved lunch will be waiting.
After lunch, travel by bus to Rold Forest – Denmark’s largest forest region. For centuries this area was a dangerous place for ordinary people to visit – particularly at night – as there was a high risk of meeting the Robbers from Rold. The robbers from bygone days will be resurrected just for today, to create an exciting experience for the group.
The participants will be dropped just outside the Rebild National Park. Here a robber girl will greet us and take us on a tour through the forest. On the way, the group will be ‘attacked’ by the resurrected robbers. The robbers will guide the participants deeper into the forest and will talk about the different tools, weapons and other equipment that were essential ‘tools of the trade’ for robbers in those days. In a competition, the participants will get a chance to try some of the weapons and tools themselves, such as axe throwing, hammer throwing, archery and much more.
After the competition a ‘robber dinner’ will be served in the ‘robbers’ camp’. Food, drink, robbers’ tales and entertainment are guaranteed to keep everyone wide awake1
Arrive back in Aalborg about 22.00
Day III
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
Transfer by bus to Skagen, about 1 ½ hours drive north of Aalborg. Skagen is Denmark’s northernmost town, and it is there – at ‘Grenen’ that the two seas, Kattegat and Skagerrak, converge.
Check-in at Color Hotel Skagen.
The theme of the day is ‘No Limits Challenges’ and we can promise you an action-packed day of challenging activities along the shores of the rugged West Coast and the beautiful ‘mini-desert’ of ‘Raabjerg Mile’ – the largest moving/migrating sand dune in Europe. The group will be divided into teams. Each team competes in e.g. 6 disciplines that demand courage and teamwork as well as a sense of fun. At the end of the day one team will be announced as the winner of the competition.
The activities are combined with sightseeing and transportation will be by Land Rovers through the rough terrain. Among the many different activities available are:
Zorbing in the dunes - A member of the team is inside the Zorb and the rest of the team members push the Zorb down the hilly dunes.
Land Rover Race – on the beach, in the dunes and in the forest. The teams will race to a given point.
‘Treasure hunt’ - the posts are placed in a manner that will require various forms of transportation to get to the treasure, such as mountain biking, canoeing, Land Rover driving, as well as running.
A picnic lunch will be served at ‘Grenen’.
Dinner is at the well-known fish restaurant, Pakhuset, located on the atmospheric harbour front in Skagen. Later there will be an opportunity to enjoy the music scene in the local bars and pubs.

Day IV
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out
Today’s activities take place at Scandinavia’s largest Viking burial site, Lindholm Høje, which consists of more that 700 graves, as well as a new Viking Museum, which gives a very realistic impression of what life was like more than a 1,000 years ago.
Some of the famous Vikings have been resurrected specially for the occasion, and will give participants an insight into life in the Viking age.
Viking Lunch followed by a transfer to Aalborg Airport and ‘Farewell Aalborg’.
