The “Visit the Happiest People in the World” Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") will begin at 12:01am Eastern Standard Time ("EST") on 1/1/2009 and end at 11:59pm EST on 12/31/2009 ("Sweepstakes Period"). Sweepstakes is sponsored by VisitDenmark, 655 Third Avenue, Ste. 1810, New York, NY 10017 (the "Sponsor"), who is solely responsible for all aspects of this Sweepstakes.

Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec) and are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Only one entry allowed per person. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, VisitDenmark, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively including Sponsor, “Sweepstakes Entities”), their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouses) and persons living in the same household (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. How to Enter: Participants may enter the Sweepstakes by visiting www.visitdenmark.com/happy (“Website”) and completing the online entrance survey. All entries must be received by 11:59pm EST on 12/31/2009.

Internet Limitations of Liability: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the Grand Prizes using all non-suspect eligible entries received as of or after (if applicable) this cancellation, termination, modification or suspension date, or in any manner that is fair and equitable. Sweepstakes Entities assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Prizes: One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for two (2) to the Copenhagen/Øresund area, and will spend two (2) nights in Malmo, Sweden and three (3) nights in Copenhagen, Denmark. Winner will have the option of which location they would like to visit first. Scandinavian Airlines of North America, Inc. (SAS) will sponsor 2 economy roundtrip tickets from a US SAS gateway (New York (Newark), Chicago, Washington DC, Seattle) to Copenhagen, Denmark. The Grand Prize winner will be responsible for all expenses associated with the travel to one of specified SAS gateway. The trip must be completed before July 15, 2010. Once the Grand Prize winner and his/her travel companion arrive in Copenhagen, they will spend three (3) nights at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel. The Grand Prize winner must execute their three (3) night stay on a weekend only. Transportation from Copenhagen to Malmø, Sweden, is not included in the overall prize package. Upon arrival in Malmø, the Grand Prize winner and his/her travel companion will stay two (2) nights at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Malmo. Airfare and hotels are strictly based on availability. The Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the trip is $4,700.
In addition, five (5) First Prize winners will receive a luggage tag. Each luggage tag has an Approximate Retail Value of $39. No transfer, refund or substitutions of prizes are permitted, except that the Sponsor and Sweepstakes Entities retain the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater retail value for any reason. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Drawing and Notification: The potential Grand Prize winner will be selected, from among all eligible entries received, in a random drawing conducted on or about 1/15/2010 by an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
 
Prize Conditions: The Grand Prize winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and/or any other fees/costs associated with the prize or receipt of the prize. If a Canadian citizen wins a prize, they will be required to answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question. If any potential winner cannot be contacted within three (3) days of attempted notification, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. The winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability / Publicity Release (unless prohibited) within 14 days of written notification or prize winner will be disqualified. Travel companions must also execute and return a travel release. If travel companion is a minor, parent or legal guardian must sign and return release and accompany minor on the trip. In the event of noncompliance with the Official Rules, if a winner cannot be reached at the address/phone number on winner’s entry within 5 days of the first attempt, or if the prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, an alternate winner will be selected. The winner’s entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited) for the Sponsor to use said winner’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and address (city and state), in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without notice or further compensation.
 
Terms & Conditions: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes Administrator, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. Prize winners and entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities from and against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in any part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prizes offered, or participation in this Sweepstakes. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the Sweepstakes mechanics and/or implementation will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited.
